Hi and Welcome to G2G

BEFORE BEGINNING, Please read completely through the instructions below and download the files from the links provided. You may want to save or print out these instructions for easier reference.

Download Ewido Security Suite

Download and install AdAwareSE Update it’s database after it’s installed and then install the VX2 Addon Cleaner

Run Ad-Aware, update to the latest definitions, then click on Add-ons in the lefthand column. Select VX2 Cleaner V2.0 and click Run Tool. Click "OK" , then, if something is found, click "Clean" as in the directions given. Click "Close", and exit Ad-Aware.

Reboot your PC and run Ad-Aware again. This time, click on the Start button in Ad-Aware, select "Perform smart system scan" and click Next. Once the scan finishes, click "Next" again. Select all objects found (right click anywhere in the list of found objects and click "Select All Objects"). Click "Next" one more time, then "OK" to confirm the removal.

You will be prompted to set Ad-Aware to run on reboot, click "OK" . Exit Ad-Aware and restart your PC once again.

When Ad-Aware starts up, click on "Start", then "Next". Follow the steps above if anything is found, or click "Finish", then exit Ad-Aware.

For a final cleanup, please install and run Ewido.

1. When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".

2. When you run ewido for the first time, you may get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.

3. From the main ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.

4. After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")

5. Click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on Complete System Scan. This scan can take quite a while to run.

6. If Ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. We have been finding some cases of false positives with the new version of Ewido, so we need to step through the fixes one-by-one. If Ewido finds something that you KNOW is legitimate (for example, parts of AVG Antivirus, pcAnywhere and the game "Risk" have been flagged), select "none" as the action.

DO NOT check "Perform action with all infections". If you are unsure of an entry, select "none" for the time being. I'll see that in the log you will post later and let you know if ewido needs to be run again.

7. When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Make sure you know where to find this file again.

Please finish up by rebooting your system once more, and posting a new HijackThis log and the log from the Ewido scan. You may still get that error message but we will address it on the next pass.

Hi:

Ok Let's proceed with the next step.

Download and install Cleanup but DO NOT run it yet!

*NOTE* Cleanup deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders and does not make backups.

Download LQfix.exe and place it on your desktop.
  • Doubleclick LQfix.exe and click install.
  • Leave the default settings. If you change them, the fix will fail.
  • Make sure 'Launch LQfix' is checked. After clicking finish in the install, the fix will start.
  • Follow the prompts on the screen.
  • Your system will reboot afterwards.
  • Please be patient after reboot, because there is a script running in the background.
Once you reboot...

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing/visible.
Please make sure system restore is enabled by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn OFF System Restore and make sure it’s NOT checked. We want system restore ON and monitoring your current hard drive. Once your clean we will turn this off and then back on to remove the infection from the restore folder and create a clean restore point.

Reboot into Safe Mode (hit F8 key until menu shows up). Make sure to close any open browsers.

Go to Start->Run and type Services.msc then hit Ok

Scroll down and find the service called: Command Service (cmdService)

When you find it, double-click on it. In the next window that opens, click the Stop button, then click on properties and under the General Tab, change the Startup Type to Disabled. Now hit Apply and then Ok. Repeat the same procedure for the service below as well.

Windows Overlay Components

Close the window when finished.

I would also suggest you open add/remove programs and remove Personal Money Tree This program is simply not needed and is recommend you remove it.

http://www.bleepingc....exe-12279.html

Open hijackthis do a scan, Check and fix the following in HijackThis if they still exist (make sure you do not miss an entry)

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PSof1] C:\WINDOWS\system32\PSof1.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AUNPS2] RUNDLL32 AUNPS2.DLL,_Run@16
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AutoLoaderpF721ZNgLJaZ] "C:\WINDOWS\system32\dpmi2rc.exe" /HideDir /HideUninstall /PC="CP.SAV" /ShowLegalNote="nonbranded"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UserFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -u
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [YB7qRjcqQ] qeduname.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [wmpdma] C:\WINDOWS\system32\wmpdma.exe
O23 - Service: Command Service (cmdService) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\T3duZXIA\command.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: Windows Overlay Components - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\brhzbvh.exe (file missing)

Now locate and delete the following files and folders...

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dpmi2rc.exe <--file

C:\WINDOWS\system32\wmpdma.exe <--file

C:\WINDOWS\T3duZXIA <--folder

C:\WINDOWS\brhzbvh.exe <--file

C:\Program Files\CMAPP <--folder

C:\WINDOWS\system32\PSof1.exe <--file

qeduname.exe
AUNPS2.DLL
<--files. Locate and delete both!

Run Ewido:
  • Click [Scanner]
  • Click [Complete System Scan] to begin scanning.
  • Click [OK] when prompted to clean files
  • With the first file it prompts to clean, select the option - "Perform action on all infections" - & choose clean and click [OK].
  • Once finished, click the [Save report] button
  • Save the report to your desktop
Close Ewido

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu). Set the program up as follows:
*Click "Options..."
*Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
*Put a check next to the following:
  • Empty Recycle Bins
  • Delete Cookies
  • Delete Prefetch files
[X]Scan local drives for temporary files (Please uncheck this option)
  • Cleanup! All Users
Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program. Reboot/logoff when prompted.

Once your back to normal windows...

Please run an online scan at http://www.pandasoft...n_principal.htm
Once it has finished save the activescan log. Then post that log in your next post along with the Ewido log and a new hijackthis log.
