Icons in the all programs section of the start menu are showing as generic program folder. This happens even after fresh reinstall of XP mce (toshiba disc).
Strangely, icons in the sub menus of these programs are for the most part displayed corerectly. This is the case with freshly installed applications as well as most of the programs installed with XP. Any fixes for this? I tried programs that repair the icon cache, ie tweak ui ,but these had no effect. Why did this only happen after the second time I rebooted from the restore disc? I have tried reinstall 5 times to no avail.

Hmmm... I'm not sure if they SHOULD be something else. The icons in my "All Programs" are also folder icons. Only the individual icons with no folder like Internet Explorer and Windows Messenger have differnet icons. :tazz:
