Media Player Sound Quality

My Media Player sound quality is patchy it goes quite and then normal then quiet then normal.. randomly througout all songs... i dont know if this is a sound driver problem or not

What media player are you using?
Have you tried player the songs with other players?
And are you sure it's not the song quality that's the problem?
