Hi! I would just like to thank you in advance for your assistance!

About an hour and a half ago I received an alert from my Symantec Firewall that said a remote address was trying to contact lsass.exe on my computer. I blocked it from doing so. The Symantec log follows:

The user has created a rule to "block" communications.
Inbound UDP packet.
Local address,service is (0.0.0.0,isakmp(500)).
Remote address,service is (82.81.110.54,isakmp(500)).
Process name is "C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe".

Should I be at all concerned?

Thank you!!!

We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and post your log as a reply to this thread.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet!

Once you have posted the HiJack This log, I will look at it, and as soon as another staff member reviews it I'll post a reply. :tazz: Thank you for your patience.

Hello, computerheadaches, welcome to GTG. I'm rmurphy, and I'm going to be helping you today.

You will want to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure, as you will not be able to access the internet later in the fix.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe

Click fix checked

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).

Go to Add/Remove Programs in the control panel. Remove the following program, if found:

Viewpoint Manager

Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following folder in bold (if found):

C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. :tazz:
