Okay my friend is having trouble with this and this is what she told me

"I have a handful of programs on my add/remove list that have been removed numerous times, but wont leave the list.
What can I do to get rid of them??

I.E. Alien Skin Eye Candy 4000 Demo
Adobe Photoshop CS
ICQ Toolbar "

If you need more info, just let me know, and ill get it, but for now, any ideas?

Try to reinstall, and then uninstalling the programs this will work normaly.

There are programs like Anvanced Uninstaller Pro which you can get a trial of to remove them.

Your problem often happens to me, I just ignore it, till the next time I foramt.

Another idea would be to get CCleaner it can uninstall prorams and delete the entry form add/remove program if it dose not go away.

Hi,
I have a suggestion here.But it needs a small work in the registry.
Back it up before editing the registry.
The entries in add\remove programs are stored in the following registry entry
Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Uninstall
for ex:If I want to delete the Nero Burning Rom from add remove list,I delete the following reg entry
Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Uninstall\Nero-Burning Rom!UninstallKey
once you delete it,it will be gone from add remove programs.
I used this tweak to change the picture and display name of some programs in add remove list.
It's a small and nice tweak.
But be careful in not deleting the programs wrongly.
Back up the registry before you do a work on it.
