IP address conflict

I keep getting this weird pop-up that say that there is a conflicting IP address with another system on my network. My girlfriend's comp, which is in the same room, keeps getting the same message. I am hooked up to the hub by cable and she is wireless. What's going on here??

Do the computers have the same name

Have you checked if the router firewall is on

Run WinsockXPFix in preparation from here
