Umm, wow i would not play alot of the games i do if i only had 512 mb ram. In doom 3 with it on very high and the filterings on you need a gig for it to even be smooth. Dont even think about running doom 3 on ultra settings with 512 mb ram... It even says, a gig of ram required for ultra gameplay and it eats that up even. You guys need to listen, 512 mb ram is not enough for a 3d hardcore gamer. The new games coming out wont even play right on 512mb.... Have you herd of F.E.A.R the pc game? That will run like total crud with 512 mb ram. That game awed me with its graphics.
Yes i know you can play doom 3 with 512 mb ram, but i dont like to lower the settings at all.
The difference is day and night from 512 to 1gb and from 1gb to 2gb.
Anyway i will explain in detail so you will agree with me.
The reason i suggested atleast 1gb of ram for you Ntd is because you have a antivirus program and it is slowing down your pc. Those antivirus programs are great and you need to keep it on. Virus programs sit on your taskbar and adds alot more processes for your cpu to compile. They eat up memory also. That then equals to slower performance. With that virus program chillin, and always on it eats the memory expecially in games.... You need more Ram.
Now, if you didnt have the virus program up the pc would run alot better with just 512mb ram on games.
Yes Doom 3 plays good with 512 mb ram without a virus program running.

Ok biyectivo, let me get this straight with you. Most of the time i read these forums is when im at tech school in class. I do my work in class and on break i check the forums. I dont leave the person hanging if im able to get back in touch with them. I go back and fourth between my school work and geekstogo.com
Hmmm and really I dont even think editing would help because i give alot of information. If i kept on adding on the same one it would be a mess.
I really wish i had time to jump onto someone for no reason like others i know.
Tell an admin, dont post it in the forums.
Im sorry you dont like the way i help people.

Ok guys lets get back on topic with the purpose of helping Ntd as we all set out to do.
Hmmm, it does seem that most of these new games are crying for more ram and with the price of ram these days I don't see how you can go wrong.
The system in my sig has a gig for gaming and I soon need to add some but my other systems used for internet and word process has 512 witch is fine for that, but for gaming a gig soon won't be enough
just my 2 cents
Rick
