Please help!!

When I open up Internet Explorer I am randomly getting sent to WinFixer, TrafficExplorer, and Winantispyware pages as well as Matchmaker and some other vacation site.

I have performed all the steps you have outlined in the Get Started section twice. I thought the problem was fixed but every day it comes back.

I just ran the 'cleanmgr' command based upon a another post from today. I am so frustrated by this - I hope you can help me. Thanks so much for your help!

Normally when I start my computer I need to press CT/ALT/DEL and enter a user name and password before I can get to my Desktop.

I turned off the need for CTL/ALT/DEL but when I start my computer in Safe Mode, it is still asking me for a user name and password and the password that I usually use isn't working.

Is there something else I can do to make the password screen not appear in Safe Mode? I don't know why my password doesn't work in Safe Mode.

So when you get to the log on screen in Safe Mode and Choose your user name,the password doesnt work?

Sometimes you can just hit enter with no password entered and it will boot up fine!

In other cases,you have to choose the Administrator and do the same thing!

Try those and see what happens!

If still no go,try running the fix in Normal Mode!

In HiJackThis I couldn't find the 02 - BHO:MSEvents Object - .....entry but I did find and 'Fix' the 020 - Winlogon Notify entry.

Go ahead and Reconfigure Msconfig the way you like the PC to Startup!

Go ahead and remove any of the tools downloaded that are of no use anymore!

Once all that is done,Restart the PC and Renable System Restore,this flushes out the old Restore Points and Creates a new the next time the PC is started!
