hi i need help with my pc i got a dell 2400 it's got 2.60 gigahertz Intel Celeron.. 40gb HD.... 512 DIMM memory....NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 (Omega 1.6693

what can i do to make FPS games less lagger and get a good fps. i play rtcw and et and games like that any help will be great... thx

Hello bullet-proof and welcome to Geeks To Go!

There are a few ways you could get a better fps in your games.

1) Turn detail levels down
2) Turn off anti-aliasing
3) Turn off anisotropic filtering
4) Close unncessary background tasks
5) Update all your hardware drivers (graphics card, sound, motherboard etc..)
6) Defrag hard drive
7) Upgrade memory
8) Upgrade graphics card
9) Increase page/swap file
10) Install latest patches for games
11) If playing online, upgrade internet connection
