Hello Rob06!

Freezing or crashing on the splash screen can be caused by a few things.

Does your computer meet the minimum specs for the game?
Do you have the latest hardware drivers installed?
Have you closed all unncessary background tasks?
Have you downloaded and installed the latest patches for the game?
Have you installed the latest firmware for your DVD drive?

It is also worth scanning for spyware/viruses.
