I have a Dell Latitude LS that I can't get the built-in LCD to go to full resolution. It should support HI color at 600x800, but will only go to 16 colors at 640x480.

I have checked the Device Manager and the Driver (NeoMagic MagicMedia256AV) and display (Laptop Display Panel 800x600) -- both show to be ok.

It will drive an external CRT and load the drivers, but still won't change the resolution or colors.

This seems like such a simple problem, but I am stuck. Has the display memory gone bad?

Thanks in advance.

Hi. I went over to Dell.com and did a search on this model computer. Multiple hits, lots of information. I bet they have your answer over there.

Perhaps, but I couldn't find it. It tells what to do, but not what is wrong if the instructions don't work. I was looking for some help here.
