Computer restarts when playing COD....Please HELP

Hi,
I have a Windows XP, with Call of duty and United Offence (the game of the year Edition).

It used to work fine before (with online and single player), but now, whenever I launch the game, it works fine for 15 sec. to a minute or so, when it restarts. I am wondering what I need to do to get it to play cleanly.

Have you installed any hardware/software recently?
Have you tried reinstalling the game?
Have you got all the patches installed?
Does this happen with any other game?

Thanks for the reply Zeus!.

I recently installed an ATI video driver program which hasnt helped much. I have a Radeon 9100 or something. I don't really have any other games of this calibre to try it on, and I've got al lthe patches. I havent tried reenastalling.

Does the ATI RADEON 9100 even Play COD as it probably will be choppy anyway :tazz:

hmm...wekk it played perfectly when i first got the comp and game around christmas '03 i think.
