hey, i have a compaq nx9010 laptop

it's on windows XP and it keep switching itself off.

i first thought it was the power management, so i switched all the settings to "never", then i thought it was the heat underneath, but there is enough air ventilation for heat to escape

just wondering if anyone knows anything about this problem?

thanks for any help

In control panel, under Management look at your Event Logs, you have three kinds. They may give you a better idea of what is happening. Double click on anything that says Error until you find something and post it here.
