Hey... comp noob here... any help appreciated...

Is Cleanup 4.0 compatible with windows XP professional - service pack 2? I have run it in the past on my laptop and received a message saying that important system files had been removed and that I must repair them with my operating system CD. Thanks in advance!

It's compatible with windows XP professional - service pack 2. :tazz:

Of course, if you want to run the Windows disk cleanup - utility..
  • Click Start -> Run and type in: cleanmgr
  • Click "Ok".
  • Let it scan your system.
  • Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only ones checked.
  • Click "OK" to remove them.
  • Click "Yes" to confirm the deletion.

Rather use CleanUp.. Much better than the integrated Windows one. :tazz:
