broken hyperlinks?

My issue is when I click any hyperlink it opens a new window then nothing. To open new windows I have to right click and "copy shortcut" then paste it into the address bar. I am not sure how to fix this. I do not seem to have any viruses or trojans. Thanks in advance, Eric
