When I into windows task manager I have noticed that:

Svchost running x2 for network Services. (and I am not on a network now - was on a net work last month)

In service.msc:

RPC:

Discription: Provides the endpoint mapper and other miscellaneous RPC services.
Path to excutable: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost -k rpcss

Cannot stop service's, and its set to auto and I cant change that.

All above normal?

Just want to double check.

Remote procedure call is use for one program to acess another program the is on your computer, network or internet, don't try to turn it off, you can't for a reason. Remore Access Connection Manager can be turned off saffly.

Have a look at these sites to know about what you can trun off
http://www.theelderg...vices_guide.htm
http://www.overclock..._services_2.php
http://www.blackvipe.../servicecfg.htm http://www.blackvipe.../servicecfg.htm

And I disagree with any of them that say that you need Windows Management Instrumentation, becase you don't, every one just says that you do and don't say why.
