I tried to uninstall my web search ( smiley central) because my spyware protection is blocking it and preventing me from using aim. I tried to uninstall it the conventional way by going to add/remove programs but when I tried to remove it an error message popped up saying "specified module not found." Can anyone help me find another way to delete this annoying program?

Sounds like you've gotten a pretty nasty infection from My Smiley Central - and chances are, using the Add/Remove Programs feature through the Control Panel alone isn't going to help you get rid of it.

Go here, and follow the instructions stated.
