Howdy:
You wouldn't happen to have Yahoo Companion installed would you??
If so, remove it and see if the error still comes up!!

Murry, I don't know what Yahoo Companion is, but I did have Yahoo messanger. I just deleted all references to MSN messanger and Yahoo Messanger. Do I need to do something other than just delete them? Is there some sort of uninstall that needs to be done? If so, how? Dave

You can't just delete them.. they have to be un-installed either through their own uninstall program or through Add/Remove..
Did you remove them one of those two ways??

That particular .dll file belongs to YaHoo Companion.. It's acting up because you dumped Yahoo Messenger inproperly..
You may need to re-install it, boot into Safe Mode (no networking) and remove it properly!!

Tap F8 while your computer is booting up and select Safe Mode. There is one that says Safe Mode with Networking, but select the one that just says Safe Mode.

Okay.. Go to Yahoo and download and install Yahoo Messenger..
Once that is done, re-boot your system.. as it is starting up, keep tapping the F8 key until you get to a DOS style menu.. Choose "Safe Mode" only..
Once in there, go into Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs .. Find Yahoo Messenger and click on the "Remove Option" to the right of it..
Wait until it is gone and then close out of Control Panel and reboot your system..

Murray, did as you instructed. It would still not let me uninstall the toolbar and two others. Now I have a new error message: msvcrt.dll
Any ideas? Dave
