I had a warning from NAV that I had a virus,stupidly I did not make a note of this,Norton said it was unable to repair.I ran Ad Aware,S&D,Spyware Doctor,Spyware Blaster,Microsoft AV,Registry Mechanic, all of which showed nothing.I have had problems lately with programs slow to launch,computer will not shut down after reaching the shut down screen and has to be closed manually.I have been through your advised routine in Adaware and the "Automatically select problematic objects in results list" was checked but greyed out.S&D Showed "Windows Security Center AV Disable Notify" in Red,which I removed.The only program to show Malware was Ewido which I removed.Trend Housecall was all clear

Is there no reply to my post because there is nothing untoward or because I have already had a reply to a similar problem by Don77.I am still having trouble with a slooooooow machine and some programs take ages to launch.Thanks beforehand for your help.
