Hi, I keep getting a notification from norton anti-virus that trojan.elitebar is found and quarantined, but it can't delete it. The notification reappears about every 10 seconds constantly. Also, whenever I run AdAware, it won't even scan, just shuts down my computer. I've ran spybot search and destroy, trojanhunter, swat it, and Trend Housecall online scan. Nothing works I've tried to delete pokapoka65, but the file is hidden or something because when I go to find it, the directory isn't visible. Popups are invading my computer and its starting to run slow, please help!

Hello

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and reply here with your log.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Hello bronco4105 and welcome to Geeks to Go:tazz:

I see you have been infected by malware. Lets get you fixed up.
Please follow the directions as closely as you can . Lets begin

Download LQfix.exe and place it on your desktop.
Doubleclick LQfix.exe and click install.
This will create a new folder called LQfix on your desktop.
Open the folder and doubleclick ClickThis.bat
Follow the prompts on the screen.
Your system will reboot afterwards.
Please be patient after reboot, because there is a script running in the background

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below. (if present)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [lsass] C:\windows\system32\eliteeys32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
O16 - DPF: {A7EA8AD2-287F-11D3-B120-006008C39542} (CBSTIEPrint Class) - http://offers.bright...bin/actxcab.cab

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked.

Post a new hijack log and tell me how your system is running now.

Thanks :)

Alright I did what you listed, and everything seems to be running good, the elitebar notifications stopped, and I haven't got a popup yet, and the two top files were not even there for me to fix after running the LQfix.exe. One more question though, should I try adaware again just to see if it still forces my computer to shut off?

here's the log:
