Hi There,

Thanks for coming to my rescue! My PC has been attacked, and I have tried all suggestions for getting rid of the winfixer popups can you please help?

Steps I've Taken Already:
Norton Anti Virus - Found Nothing
Spybot - Found Nothing
Ad Aware - Found Nothing
ewidow - Found some items and removed them but did not solve issue
AVG - Found Nothing
TrojanHunter - Found Nothing
Windows Update - Installed Windows .NET Passport Service Pack 1

• Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
• You will first be presented with a warning and a list of forums to seek help at.

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run this online virus scan: ActiveScan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

Thanks for helping, but it did not work properly.

I followed your instructions and everything went ok until in safe mode when HiJackThis opened - there was no list of items to select from, it gave an alarm that something was detected and to fix it - I then clicked on OK and hijackthis closed and VundoFix said to follow the next steps of the help forum - which is not what was supposed to happen I don't think from the instructions you have given me.

I tried to start over but this time VundoFix had already remove the file path that I put in the first time and Hijackthis never opened again.

Can you help me figure out what to do now? How do I continue?

• Disable WinPatrol. (It will otherwise try to block our fixes.)
  - Right Click the 'Scotty Dog' icon in the system tray
  - Click Always Run Winpatrol
  - When WinPatrol dialog comes up asking about Startup change, click Yes
  - Reboot your machine for the changes to take effect before running HJT.
  
  To Re-enable WinPatrol after your malware removal is complete:(It is important that it runs under normal circumstances. It does a good job of protecting you.)
  - Click Start, Programs, All Programs, WinPatrol, WinPatrol
  - Click Startup Info Tab
  - Click Add
  - When dialog comes up, locate Winpatrol.exe, usually in C:\Program Files\BillP Studios\Winpatrol
  - Click OK

Please disable SpybotSD’s protection, as it may hinder the removal of the infection. You can enable it after you're clean.

Open Spybot and click on Mode and check Advanced Mode
Check yes to next window.
Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner.
Click on Resident icon.
Uncheck Teatimer box and/or Uncheck Resident.
Close Spybot.

Open HijackThis
Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

O20 - Winlogon Notify: logodbc - C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\logodbc.dll (file missing)

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running.
Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

I do not know what program Panda is - can you please let me know where I can get it?

Panda Activescan is the online virusscanner I asked you to run (see my first post).

Please do an online virus scan with Panda ActiveScan Here. You need to use Internet Explorer for this scan.

• Once you get to the Panda site, scroll down a bit and click on Scan your PC
• A new window will appear; click on Check Now!
• A new window will appear; fill in the boxes (Country, State, email addy)
• Click on Scan Now! >
  If you have never used ActiveScan before, you will be prompted to install an ActiveX control (asinst.cab) : click on Install. Panda will install the component, and then install the latest signature files.
• From "Select a device to scan...", choose "My Computer"
• Allow the scan to run. It'll take a while.
• When complete, click on "See Report", and then on "Save report"; save it to a convenient location.
• I will need you to post that report in your next reply; simply open the text file, then copy/paste the content here.
