s-video to tv, any thing i need to do?

i got a e-GeForce FX 5500 video card and it has s-video out. i got a svideo cable. is there anmy thing special i got to do to set up the connection or do i just have to plug in both ends? i think their migh be a thing to click on but i dunno,
