Hello imy500, welcome to GTG. I'm rmurphy, and I'll be helping you today.

Before we start, I have two programs for you to download.
The first isCleanUp!. CleanUp! is a quick and easy way to delete temporary files from your system. Simply deleting these temp files may clear some infections. Just download and install it. Once it has been installed, open it up, and click on options on the right hand side. Under Quick Setup, move the slider to "BASIC". On the right hand side, check "Scan local drives for temporary files" and "CleanUp! all users" Click OK and let the program run.

The second program I want you to download is SpyWare Blaster. It prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests; block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox; and restricts the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.

After you have installed Spyware Blaster, please update the definitions by going to UPDATE (on the left at teh bottom) and then CHECK FOR UPDATES. After the updates have been downloaded, please enable all the protection.

Jotti File Submission:
  • Please go to Jotti's malware scan
  • Copy and paste the following file path into the "File to upload & scan"box on the top of the page:
    • C:\WINXP\SYSTEM\DRIVER\ntsrv.exe
  • Click on the submit button
  • Please post the results in your next reply.

I noticed that you have Messenger Plus 3 installed. Did you install this? If you did, during setup, did you also install the Sponser Program? The Sponser Prgram includes adware. If you use Messenger Plus 3, you can uninstall it and then reinstall it, without installing the Sponser Program. In your next post, please let me know what you did with Messenger Plus 3.

To uninstall, go to ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in the Control Panel.
Select Messenger Plus 3, and click uninstall

You have the 7AdPower Dialer. If you use Dial Up to connect to the internet, it could have changed your settings to dial a 900 or internation number. Please let me know how you connect to the internet (Cable, DSL, Dial up, etc.) in your next post.

You also have the Marcador dailer. Please go to this page, and follow the instructions on it. Do NOT follow step Three.

You will want to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure, as you will not be able to access the internet later in the fix.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items

O16 - DPF: {10000000-1000-0000-1000-000000000000} - file://C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\setup.exe
O16 - DPF: {23B7A816-3647-49D2-9756-6F41CE8F9201} -
O16 - DPF: {30CE93AE-4987-483C-9ABE-F2BD5301AB70} -
O16 - DPF: {88C51E90-8E9C-4C96-8A45-574D88B63FAF} -
O16 - DPF: {9E98E84C-79E1-49C3-82EB-798FCD552EFB} -

Click fix checked.

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log as well as the results from the Jotti Scan, in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. :tazz:

Welcome back imy300. Your log still has a few errors for us to fix.

First, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up the Task Manager. If the Windows Security screen opens, hit 'T'
Under the Process tab, look for an entry called "ntsrv.exe'. Highlight it, and then click "End Process"
Next, go to START > RUN and type in 'services.msc'
The Services window will open; in the right hand side, you will see a list of services that are on your computer. Please note, most of these are GOOD, so you should not disable any service that is not listed in this fix.
Find the following services:

NTLOAD
NTSVCMGR

One at a time, double click on them to open their properties. Under "Service Staus" click on "Stop" and once it is stopped, change the startuo type to "Disabled".
Once you have done this to both services, click FILE > EXIT.

Next open HiJack This, but instead of doing a scan, click on the button that says "Open the Misc Tools Section"
Click on "Delete an NT Service"
Enter NTLOAD and press OK
Do the same thing for NTSVCMGR.

If you get any error messages during any previous step, please let me know during your next post.

You will want to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure, as you will not be able to access the internet later in the fix.

Do you know simjee.home? If not, please remove the entries in blue

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items

O23 - Service: NTLOAD - Unknown owner - C:\WINXP\SYSTEM\DRIVER\ntsrv.exe
O23 - Service: NTSVCMGR - Unknown owner - C:\WINXP\SYSTEM\DRIVER\ntsrv.exe

Click fix checked.

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):

C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\setup.exe << This file
C:\WINXP\SYSTEM\DRIVER\ntsrv.exe << This file
C:\WINXP\SYSTEM\DRIVER\ntsrv.exe << This file

If the files deleted without any problem, please disregard the next set of directions, and follow the last set of steps.
Open HiJack This.
Click on "Open the Misc Tools Section"
Click "Delete a File on Reboot"
Enter the path of the file that did not delete.
Repeat for each file that wasn't deleted.

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, any errors that were encountered during the fix and let us know how your system's working. :tazz:
