Hi. I hope this is what I should be doing and where I should be doing it.

I'm receiving popups for WinFixer, WinAntiSpyWare, VIPfares, and matchmaker somethingorother. I've looked all over, installed numerous recommended Spy/Ad ware apps and cannot find a solution. What I HAVE been able to determine, is when running Sysinternals' Process Explorer, I can kill off three "hardnut.dll" threads from WINLOGON.EXE and two from EXPLORER.EXE and the problem seems to go away for the session. • Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
• This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.
• After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
• Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
• You will first be presented with a warning and a list of forums to seek help at.

Ok. To begin with, thank you thank you. Some ponts though:

1) Again, thank you--pop-ups have left
2) The last three "02- BHO" items were not there to remove--I'm ok with this.
3) ActiveScan does not appear to be a legit link, and I could not find an appropriate reference on the PandaSoftware site. I ran thorough scans with Ewido, Norton, and Stinger last night, and am midway through Norton scan right now which I fully expect to be clean.

Very important:
Please disable SpybotSD’s protection, as it may hinder the removal of the infection. You can enable it after you're clean.

Open Spybot and click on Mode and check Advanced Mode
Check yes to next window.
Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner.
Click on Resident icon.
Uncheck Teatimer box and/or Uncheck Resident.
Close Spybot.

Reboot the computer back to safe mode again.

• Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat

• Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
  
• The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
• In HiJackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:
  O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00DBDAC8-4691-4797-8E6A-7C6AB89BC441} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ssqrq.dll
  
  O20 - Winlogon Notify: hardnut - C:\WINDOWS\system\hardnut.dll (file missing)

• After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis and Press any key to Force a reboot of your computer.
• Pressing any key will cause a "Blue Screen of Death" this is normal, do not worry!
