It won't let me rename either file. It says Windows is using these files.

If I have to do it from DOS then I will have to be walked thru. I'm am not sure how to do things in DOS.

Let's just do it this way.

Please run Panda Online Virus Scan
  • Make sure it is set to clean automatically.
  • There may be files that this scan will not remove.
  • Please include that information in your next post.

Panda should remove both of those files and then follow my previous instructions to extract wininet.dll


Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your help. My boss made me take the machine in to get it fixed. Oh well, I was trying. :tazz:

I have learned some things and I will be able to use this info in the future.
