I suspect that there are a few baddies going on here at the same time. I will start by trying to eliminate some of them before attacking the major trojan.

• Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:
  
  http://www.atribune....oads/l2mfix.exe
  http://www.downloads....org/l2mfix.exe
  
  
• Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe.
  
• Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then OPEN the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop.
  
• Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #"1" for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing Enter.
  
• This will scan your computer and it may appear as if nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, Notepad will open with a log.
  
• Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

• From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing "2" and then pressing ENTER.
  
• Then press any key to reboot your computer.
  
• After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer.
  
• When it's finished, Notepad will open with a log.
  
• Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

To remove the double spacing in your log, please do the following:

• Please go to Start >> Run... and type notepad.exe
• Hit OK.
• Now go to Format and uncheck WordWrap.

You have a double Vundo infection going on here, I think. So we will run the process once to kill the first, then rerun the process again for the second. Don't worry if those popups appear while you are killing the first, they will be caused by the second taking over. (Not for long)

Please print these instructions out for use in Safe Mode.

Also note, one must be either logged in under the Administrator account or have administrator privileges to be able to successfully complete these procedures

1. Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
• This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.
• After the files are extracted, please REBOOT your computer into Safe Mode.
  
  You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
  
  
• Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
• You will first be presented with a warning and a list of forums to seek help at.

3. Download and install CleanUp!

• Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
• Set the program up as follows:
• Click "Options..."
• Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
• Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

[*]Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.
[*]It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Dang.. this really "xxxxx". (Put in favorite perjorative here.)

I've tried to run active scan two times. Both times it has died in mid-stream, and closed my browser. First time it ran for 20 secs, next time 20 minutes. both times it died. The second scan did reveal some "hits", but the run did not conclude so I have no log file of results . . .

Not sure where to go now. You want the other log files?
