Recently, whenever i'm listening to music or watching films on my pc, the volume will suddenly go quiet and then after a while it might go back to normal volume. This will happen totally randomly throughout playing any type multimedia with sound. Everytime the sound changes to low volume, i notice that the cpu usage rises very high. I wonder if anyone knows what is causing this problem?

If your cpu usage goes up very high unexpectedly and for no reason this can indicate spyware, malware or a virus so you should check this out and make sure the computer is clean before considering it a hardware issue.

Follow the instructions first then the good folks over there will help you if need be.
