The printer is installed and prints. However the lines (letters) are printed on top of each other. One line for example will print three times in a row, half a line down. I have searched everywhere and don't know what to do. Please help me!!!

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. Most printers have some diagnostics, setup or maintenance options that you can check by going to start, printers and faxes, properties. Take a look at those for a possible fix. Also a good place to start would be to review the printer manual. You can probably download one at hp/compaq if you don't have one.

Please make sure that you have most recent driver installed and you align the print heads.
