wannabe1 and czarina.. should i uninstall all the norton (the way you told me for her computer) and get rid of it, and use the avast or avg for free until i can get them for good? would it be worth it you think? and my firewall is zonealarm--i guess windows too.. i also put ewido on my computer but, i'm assuming it's a trial.. i'd just like your 'professional' opinions as to what is best.. if i'm fine with what i've got, so be it..

also, i have spysweeper, spybot, and adaware.. ok/unnecessary?

thanks

I'd keep Norton until the subscription expires and then have a good look at Ewido. As for firewalls, you should only run one at a time and the XP firewall is very adequate.

Keep the spyware/malware programs and use them...can't be too safe, just ask your friend!!!!!!

Norton and Ewido do totally different things. Norton is antivirus, this is a must. However there are better programs than norton, like AVG.

Ewido is antimalware.
