Could be your NetCallerId software?

C:\Program Files\UGotCall\NetCallerID\NetCallerID.exe

From NetcallerId website: As a note, if you answer an incoming call, you will lose the Internet connection in approximately 10 seconds.

Try turning it off and using the net, to see if it is or not that causing the problem. (note: do not uninstall it, just turn it off in your taskbar, or uncheck it in msconfig so it doesnt run at startup.)
"Open msconfig by going to Start, choosing Run (or hit the Windows key + R), and typing "msconfig" without the quotes".

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Yes, I am still having trouble. My modem will dial and complete the call to my ISP but when I try to access a web page on Internet Explorer, IE can't find the server. I cannot connect to my e-mail in Outlook Express through my ISP. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my TCP/IP protocol but that didn't help. I tried re-installing Windows also, but that didn't work. I had a ton of adware programs on my computer and I manually deleted them. I also went into my registery and deleted the adware files with the help of SpyHunter. I'm wondering if I deleted a registry file I needed to connect to the Internet.

I mostly deal with spyware/adware, so this isn't my area of expertise. I'll ask Jonny Rotten to come over and help you. Hang in there. :tazz:

Try this:

http://www.geekstogo...=download&id=21

I realize you cannot access the internet, but you are on now, so try downloading this utility to a disk and run it on the other computer. Also use this:
Reset your host file. Click Here to download HostsFileReader. To reset the host file to default, simply open the program, click the "reset default" button, and confirm the changes.
