Ok, my HD came with part (about 6 GB) of it already partitioned for recovery. i decided to make a set of recovery dvd's (thinking of dualbooting Ubuntu&winxp). everything went fine until on the second disk it was verifying the info/content/whatever and an error popped up saying it couldnt find/verify e:\hp\patches\51WW7PCA\51WW7PCA.bat so i exited ran all the spyware/virus stuff and restarted, then closed any apps. that didnt need to be running and tried again...same thing. it would be awesome if someone could help me figure out what the sam-[bleep] that error means. thanks.

Means there is problem reading the file from the dvd, meaning it's scratched or dirty in some way.
