I have been using the above mouse for the past year without any problem. It glows red and operates normally. Lately the red light turns off while using without warning. This may occur about once every few hours. The mouse pointer then changes to a two side arrow and the mouse will not function. When I remove the USB connection from the computer and immediately reconnect, the red mouse light comes back on and the mouse operates normally. Need help since it is driving me nuts. Thanx.

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. You could try updating the driver for it, or just replace the mouse.

Also try unchecking "Enable power saving on this device" by going to Properties on your Mouse on the Control Panel/System/Device Manager dialog (if this option is available).

It could also mean your power supply is not getting a constant flow of power to that particular USB port - have you tried changing USB ports?
