ok icouldnt find C:WINDOWSRUNNINGSPY.BAT but i think i have deleted the right things in autoexec.bat. i also have wininet.dll unzipped on my desktop. i will do another log in the morning and post it here.

OK

right click the wininet.dll on the desktop & select copy

then open windows explorer & navigate to c:\windows\system

now right click a blank place on that folder and select paste

that should replace the missing file a

reboot & hopefully you will have internet connection again
