What type of connection do you have to your ISP(dialup, DSL ect...?) Many things can affect your connection speed. Traffic over the network, your online activity, your modems connectivity...these are all things that can limit the speed of your online experience.

Hi Space-Man...Welcome to G2G!

I've recently fixed my computer but have noticed that my internet is running slower than usual

What did you fix and how did you fix it? The more information we have, the easier it will be to help you.

Slowness can be caused by any number of things so let's start with a few procedures you can do easily. First, run Disk Cleanup under System Tools (Click Start point to All Programs then to Accessories then to System Tools and choose Disk Cleanup)...Note that "Disk Defragmenter is also found here...you'll want to run that, too.

Then go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the START HERE .
That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
