Playing Windows Media Files

I use to be able to play Windows Media soundclip files at CD Universe but now I keep getting a: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request message.
How do I fix this????
By the way,I do have the latest version of Windows Media Player installed.
