Had some real problems with BSOD (made another post here). That seems to be corrected with a driver update from Via Arena for my raid chip.

After the update yesterday - all was well - all day. Then I left the PC on overnight. The monitor shuts off - pc just idles. When I go to re-boot this am - it takes forever to load (5 minutes or so) - especially the icons in the task bar. Actually, on the first try - it would not load all the icons (running programs).

All this time - you can hear the hard drive searching, searching - sounds almost like it is in a loop. It is up and running now - but if I reboot - it does pretty much the same.

I have run Adaware - no probs.

Bad drive? All comments welcome.

Thanks
