I reformatted my drive using cfdisk, and xp screws up, What the... is that all about? and wheres fdisk? comment removed windows.

The only reason i use it is becase
A. All decent games are for windows

and

B. Thats it

are you uninstalling Linux or attempting to dual boot? Partitioning in XP is done through administrative tools/computer management.disk management....fdisk was no longer offered after win98SE...

i was trying to repartition so that i could get about 30gb back, the 30gb i wanted had nothing to do with windows and was not bootable. For that reason, windows should not have cared if i changed it
