Hello..
I have been having probs with updating my MusicMatch program...and in the process of figuring out what is wrong...I had one of their support help guys tell me the following advice. I did this and now cannot shut down my system(XP with SP1).

Delete the contents of C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield

I followed his advice and then the trouble started for me. sheesh. Now was that stupid or what?(grin) How do I recover exactly what I deleted from the "common files" folder? I don't even know EXACTLY what all wen't out of there. I know...should of been more careful. I just get the error when I try to restart..or shutdown. Any fix for this? Thanks for any help..it is appreciated.

You know..I was considering that..but not being exactly a computer tech man..I was a bit nervous of using that feature. Usually my nephew is the one who messes with things like that. Maybe I'm dreading the hassle of doing all the re-installing of drivers and such..and restoring original settings. ;) I might very well give it a try myself though.

After the problem started I knew almost immediately what I'd done. That "common" folder..is anything but common, huh? lol Thanks for you help, loosecruise. Hey, I like that name...nice little play on words there.(grin) took me a second look to get it. Have a good one.
