Hi, plain english help needed please.
When I turn on my computer, it boots up then the following message appears.....
Primaster A03.0900 Quantum Fireballct 10 10
Ultra DMA Mode-4 S.M.A.R.T Capable but Disabled.
It then chugs along for a bit when another message appears....
Sec Master HDD Error
A bit more chugging and it gets to the normal windows page whereby the screen then goes blank with just the curser in the top left hand corner ?
I can start in Safe Mode and everything seems to work fine.
I have read on other pages with similar problems wherby its suggested to go ito dos to run scan/reg, but on my start key to turn off, I only have the option to turn off or restart, not the option to restart in dos, having said said that would scan/reg be of any help. Any Ideas please.

Howdy:

It would be worth the try but you need a boot floppy to get into DOS.. Run the command from there..
