Everytime I reboot my computer my net status is "Network cable unplugged". Its been this way for the past year. I simply have to unplug the cable, count to 12, plug it back in and then it sees it. I tried counting to 9, 10, or even 11 and 1/2 but it HAS to be 12 seconds or more. Kinda funny. Anyway, is there anyway to fix this. I dont mind doing it but I still wonder why.

thanks.

you probably need to add some details such as: operating system, connection type, network setup, network card type/model. DHCP?

if your using XP does right clicking on the network icon and choosing repair work?
