I recently had some go problems with my PC and found this site. I followed the initial instructions and was amazed at what was lurking within my system (Adaware found 24 problems), even through I use anti-virus software (Panda). I cleaned everything out and it is now running much more smoothly (particularly like Firefox). However there are two problems that I can't seem to remove. Any advice on if I need to and how to do it would be greatly appreciated.

#1 SpyBot finds a file called in red

Blackweb lite

I try and remove and it fails. Next scan finds it again.

#2 TrojanHunter finds

mcsvr.dll (Agent 187)

It fails to remove this and I am unable to delete it whatever I do (it tells me the process is running).

This is a file sitting in

c:\\windows\mcsvr.dll

Thanks for getting back to me. Having followed some of the posts here I can understand how busy it must get.

Went through all the stages in the readme topic. This was quite successful in clearing my system out. I have also now enabled various protections (Spybot, Firefox etc) on my system and am now a (very slightly) more educated user of the net. However there are still a few things lurking out there on my system. Any help gratefully received.

Please make sure that Word Wrap is turned OFF in Notepad before you post your HijackThis log next time. As you can see, the formatting it creates (see the log you posted) makes it harder for us to read it.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Please download VundoFix.exe at http://www.atribune....ds/VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files.
* After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key (or F5 in some machines) until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
* Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
* Please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):

C:\WINDOWS\mcsvr.dll

* Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
* When asked for a second path, enter -> C:\WINDOWS\rvscm.*
* The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
* In HijackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:

* Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.

Download and install CleanUp! http://www.greyknigh...spy/CleanUp.exe

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click 'Options...'
Move the arrow down to 'Custom CleanUp!'
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):

* Empty Recycle Bins
* Delete Cookies
* Delete Prefetch files
* Cleanup! All Users

Click OK. Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.
It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run an online virus scan at ActiveScan http://www.pandasoft.../activescan.htm

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HijackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

Many thanks for the prompt reply and instructions.

I downloaded VundFix and ran the programme in Safe mode. The first directory path worked fine, the second failed to find the path (c:\WINDOWS\rvscm.*). HijackThis also failed to run automatically.

I decided to stop at this point and ask for more help. I was n't sure if it was OK to continu to follow your instructions
