Hello option5!

Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers?
Does it still happen if you reduce the sound quality in the game?

Yes I have the new drivers and have drop sound quality but still it freaks out on games like half life 2 ffXI but plays great music and my kids games fine. Some times I hear the fan come on then it starts to go nuts. I have a HP pavilan a290n 3.20 GHz p4 HT 1GB PC3200 ATI Rad 9800 pro and it seems to always get hot i dont know if this is part of the prob. I AM LOST /cry.

Maybe you need a software patch for your games, check out the support on Squaresoft and Valves websites and see if it's an ingame issue.

I think it might be the heat. They jamed so much in a small tower. I will add two more fans and try that today. I hope that is the problem, that will be a cheap fix :tazz:
