Hello,

I am having problems with alot of spyware on my computer. I tried to get ad-aware and it found about 600+ spyware adaware things on my computer. I got rid of those and also downloaded Mcafee Antivirus 8.0i. This got rid of some as well. Then for some reason I started getting a problem with my windows.

I can't open any folders and do anything besides open programs and run the internet on mozilla. I can't open internet explorer or any folders(such as my documents). I have also been getting pop ups about something called... Dr. Watsons PM debugger keeps coming up. There are also things running like bargains.exe and optimizer.exe that I looked up on google and were viruses or something. Can someone help me with this problems?

Thank You,
Amit

Well I don't see "optimizer.exe" or "bargains.exe".... That's a good thing.

Go to control panel, add/remove programs and uninstall any or all of the following:

TV Media
Windows Adcontrol
NewDotNet (new.net)
WebRebates
Ebates
MoeMoneyMaker
WhenU
180 Solutions
myway
mysearch
mywebsearch
viewpoint manager
viewpoint
wild tangent
weatherbug
gain
gator
gmt
wintools
any searchbar/toolbar besides google

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.
Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.
Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: CWebDirObj Object - {C003C49F-53E4-4A72-B7D6-0B2B9997392F} - C:\WINDOWS\webdir.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [glvyyqf] C:\WINDOWS\System32\jvdccg.exe
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Works Calendar Reminders.lnk = ?
O9 - Extra button: Ebates - {6685509E-B47B-4f47-8E16-9A5F3A62F683} - file://C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker\Sy350\Tp350\scri350a.htm (file missing) (HKCU)
O23 - Service: ZESOFT - Unknown - C:\WINDOWS\zeta.exe (file missing)

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):

C:\WINDOWS\webdir.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\jvdccg.exe
C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker

Reboot normally.

Please run a free online virus scan here (tick the "Auto Clean" checkbox): Needs to be run with Internet Explorer.
http://housecall.antivirus.com/

And a free trojan scan here: (you will have to download the 30 day trial of "The Cleaner" here)
http://www.moosoft.com/

Reboot your PC and post a fresh log.

Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

It's also very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks. Click Here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox Posted Image.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. ;)
