i don't know what happened

i don't know what happened with my computer. when i turn it on it seems fine, but after i see the logo and the commands esc and f2 etc..
a message appears saying :
INITIALIZING MBA...

then another shows up saying

ARGON PXE BOOT AGENT V2.O1

and

PRE-BOOT EXECUTION ENVIRONMENT (PXE)
and this message also appears:

PXE-E61: MEDIA TEST FAILURE, CHECK CABLE

after that, it changes to another black "page" and there is anothe final message saying:

OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND

please help me, i'm helpless birthday girl!!!! :D

There's a very good chance your hard drive died. <_< That's why it's looking to PXE boot from the network.

To confirm check this: In the bios, set the NIC entry to "ON (PXE off)" and remove the option of PXE boot from the boot sequence. Make sure all IDE devices are set to cable select (hard drives, CDROM, CD-RW etc) and that only those devices you have present are set to AUTO in the bios.

Sorry I'm not sure if this is considered a followup or a new topic... but I have the same problem as sabri1. Does this mean all my files are gone?
