When I open it it say:

I click OK

And then it comes back again the next time I restart. What can I do?

Once product activation performs correctly you can save the files but best to get Microsoft to give you an activation code which lasts a bit longer

emuworld....

Go to This Page and run the Windows Validation Wizard to find out if your copy of XP is valid and registered with Microsoft. If, by chance, this is not a legal Windows product, we will be unable to offer further assistance. If it is a legal copy, call Microsoft and ask for their assistance.

I have a similar problem. i happened after reformatting the disk but my emachines recovery cd didn;t work so i used a gateway recovery cd from my other computer. I have a separate serial number from the emachines and the gateway is no longer in comission anyway (therefore no one is using the windows on it). Windows says its geniune so its no a problem with the same serial numbers. I live in an area where the closest MS dealer is 2 hours away. they told me to bring the computer in (typical). You guys said there were ways of fixing this problem and my copy is legal can you help?
