Ok, I think most of us are already familiar with the boot disk unmountable BSOD, but it usually sorts itself out when i do chkdsk /r, but now it gets to like 54% and then says that there are some errors that cannot be solved or something! What the...!?

I'm utterly screwing, someone PLEASE help me! IF i do it again is it a good idea? WIll i damage my PC if i do it over and over again?

I really dont wanna lose my stuff, but given that i can get to the recovery screen, if the chkdsk didnt work, would reformating and starting from scratch be an option?

Please help!

thanks guys (again, despite my newbie status I've been here before, justf orgot my login)

Trying using chkdsk /p /r from the recovery console. It is a more exhaustive check of your hard drive.

Download, burn and start your PC with UltimateBootCD.
Run the HDD Diagnostic tools on it.
