When I click on my account, and open up internet explorer, my yahoo homepage opens up, but another window with an adult site comes up too.Three adult desktop items appear on the desktop as well. I have tried deleting the temporary internet files, and cleared the history but they still show up. How do I ge rid of this?

this happens on every account too.

Hi babyshaq...Welcome to G2G!

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the START HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

when you download yahoo it also adds allot of other programs into your add and remove programs menue, I have found that if I go in and remove all of the yahoo programs out of add and remove it solves the [bleep] mail issue , also go to Panick ware and download the free pop up stopper, it works very well and does not interfear with your computers OS.
Just remember that if you do download pop up free addition that if you want to allow a popup keep the ctrl key pushed down untill the popup that you want apears.
P.S
My spelling is very bad sorry...

yahoo does add a lot of stuff that comes with its messenger. I choose the option to install no extras and it seems to help cut down the amount of junk I get. also, panicware's pop up blocker isnt very good, just use an alternative browser.. firefox or opera or if you have xp sp2, you can enable pop up blocking in IE if you must use it. all of these are better options than an extra pop up blocking program.
