If you could please elaborate on this problem, which OS are you using is it one or all music/video programs giving you this problem? Normally to fix this problem you would either install newer audio/video codecs or reinstall the ones you do have. Also check for viruses, malware, etc.

So are we, but it's most likely a codec problem. You can download a little apy called GSpot and open your file with it. It will tell you what codecs you need and whether they are loaded or not.
