First, we need to remove the Peper trojan.
  • Download uninst.exe from HERE
  • Double-click uninst.exe to run it.
  • Let it terminate (it'll just blink briefly on your screen and won't appeared to have done much--this is normal)

Download smitRem.exe and save the file to your desktop.
Double click on the file to extract it to it's own folder on the desktop.

Next, please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
Run Hijack This and click on scan. The following items need to be fixed -

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {29F412AE-26D2-11DA-BA2E-AA69D27A4E60} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\LMJB.DLL (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [2SWP@@33XN6LBQ] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\XtawJ.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UPDINFOW] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\UPDINFOW.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Etso] C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\erbu.exe

Close all windows other than Hijack This. Check the boxes next to above items and click on Fix checked.

Delete the files, if found -

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\XtawJ.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\UPDINFOW.exe
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\erbu.exe

Open the smitRem folder, then double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen.
Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.

The tool will create a log named smitfiles.txt in the root of your drive, eg; Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log along with all others requested in your next reply.

Next go to Control Panel click Display > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Web.

Remove the check by "View my Active desktop as a web page".
Click OK then Apply and OK.

Reboot the PC in Normal Mode.

Please visit Panda and do an online scan. Save the scan report.

Run Hijack This and post a fresh HJT log along with Panda scan report.
