I work on a Dell laptop for a regular customer. The laptop is about 2 yrs old it has been a great machine for her I do regular maintenence once a month and has had no problems, until about 2 months ago. The machine got a bad bug on it so we fomatted the drive and did a MBR format as well, then I reinstalled the factory drive image on it. It still bogged down acted really screwed up so I did a hardware diagnostics check with Checkt-It and a Dell System Diagnostics check everything checked out with no problems. Now what do we do...So we called Dell and spent days on the phone with them. They sent their tech out and he decided to replace the HD, RAM and Motherboard. Which he did. Reinstalled everything one more time, same problem...so when all was said and done it turned out to be MS Office 2003 had no updates done on it, it was conflicting with my Avast Antivirus which I have installed on 30-40 pc's with no complaints..pretty good track record. But now it seems to be running really slow again. I have installed & run Cleanup 4.0 which helped quite abit, Then I did a scan with HiJackThis version 1.99.1. I do not see anything wrong with the log and would greatly appreciate your input. Here it is:
